My Mission

I am running for City Council because I love Burlington and I’ve seen the positive impact strong local governance can have in our community.

We are now facing significant challenges in this city, but that means we also have a real opportunity for creating a better Burlington. We have the opportunity to rebuild our public safety systems. We have the opportunity to provide affordable housing. We have the opportunity to build a wonderful high school. I promise that I will work hard to achieve these important goals.

I first moved to Burlington in 2003 with my partner Kate and we immediately fell in love with this vibrant and diverse city. We decided to raise our family in Burlington because we wanted to live in a city where our children could walk to strong, safe local schools and grow up in a community that values kindness, empathy, and civic engagement.

Twenty years later, we are so fortunate that we live in the heart of Burlington, our children attend the Burlington public schools, I practice law downtown, and Kate works in public education.

I am also committed to consistent and transparent communication. I pledge that no email, phone call, or text about the issues facing our city will go unanswered. More than that, I recognize that my neighbors in the East District are here to hold me accountable. I look forward to listening to, learning from, and working with, every single one of my constituents.

As a family, we’re all in for Burlington. This is our home, it has given us so much, and I am committed to working hard to ensure this community can continue to grow and thrive.
